Personal correspondence and greeting cards, diaries, essays, manuscripts for books and articles, newspaper articles, photographs, printed materials, speeches, and teaching materials document the life and career of Mary Callum Wiley. Materials chiefly pertain to Wiley's teaching and writing in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, from the late 1800s to the mid-1900s. Also included are correspondence and scrapbooks of Miss Wiley's father, Reverend Calvin Henderson Wiley; her mother, Mittie Towles Wiley; and her sisters, Mattie T. Wiley and Annie W. Wiley.
